Memory Practice!
This is a site where you can customize patterns to memorize! You can choose between different modes, presets, or individual settings for how you'd like to practice or test your short-term memory skills. Have fun!
How to use: Click to Expand
Modes: "Set Amount" goes for however many rounds you set it for, while "Endless" goes on forever, until you run out of time or skip the round (you can press "Enter" in the text input to skip the round or end Endless).
Multipliers: In Endless mode, you can choose between increasing your time each round, or increasing the min and max amount of characters in the string each round (if you chose custom). The time multiplier multiplies all 3 of the timings (except for retrieval if it's set to 0). Setting either multiplier to 1 will cancel it and allow you to play endless mode normally.
Presets: There are 6 presets of common technology codes you can practice with. Remember, the string must be answered exactly how it's shown, which includes dashes, colons, spaces, and hashtags, as that's how they'd be entered in reality.
Amount: For custom strings, you can choose how randomly long or short you want your string to be. The string has to be at least 1 character long, but there's no maximun length, except the length of your screen!
Timing: Encoding sets the time for how long you're shown the code; Storage sets how long the code disappears; Retrieval sets how long you have to enter the code. Setting Retrieval to 0 will result in no time limit for entry. The black countdown bar is always 1 second, and because you can't set that, the timer doesn't count it.
Other: Give your best guess! At the end of the game, you can see which ones you got right/wrong and how close you were. You can change the color palette with the dropdown in the top left corner, or visit my site in the top right to contact me about any comments/concerns you have with the site.
